A leaf on a plant in the Greensboro Arboretum in Guildford County, North Carolina drew my attention while I was photographing birds one day. It drew my attention because of the the brilliant orange and reds being divided by line grooves of the leaf. A classic study of color theory and artistic elements such as hues, saturation and the monochrome of the overall color scheme. Orange(true red) is my favorite color so realizing mother nature had done all the artistic work, I aimed my telephoto lens on a small portion of the leaf and recorded.
I think the most amazing artist in the universe is mother nature and the natural world and we as photographers just have to find it and do our best to get the correct exposure and then we can share it.
