A family of gray fox raised three kits near my home nested deep in the Uwharrie National Forest in Randolph County, NC. I would see them daily and cross paths with them daily. I never imagined I would have that kind of opportunity with such beautiful animals. Watching the mother fox hunt, feed and nurture her kits gave me total respect for mothers and motherhood and how hard and challenging it is.
