Description
There are many life forms in nature that I see as art. From ripples and reflections on the water. The shape, design and repetition of a spider web, the plumage of a bird, the array of fall colors each fall but nothing grinds my artful feelings faster than the art I see in serpents. The way the move is hypnotic and the way their colors glide across the landscape can induce a trance like state. The repetition of their scales combined with various colorations is something I can look at for hours. Anyone who has encountered a large mid ranged timber/canebrake in the carolinas, the ones with, greens, golds, olives, black, whites, browns and reds knows, in the right light these creatures look like furry velvet carpet in real time. Even snakes posture is artistic.
This is a classic red cherried Carolina Pygmy Rattlesnake I made into one of my Abstract Kaleidoscopes.
I am grateful for your visit to my natural world photography galleries here on Fine Art America and on my Pixels website.
